Members must give quality feedback to 5 songs before posting a track. Each comment must be at least 3 sentences long, or else you will not gain a point from the bot. Only comment on songs that are no older than 3 days.
We ask that people put honest effort into giving feedback if they would like to also receive it. What did you like about a song? Why did you like it? What didn't you like? How can they improve the song? You don't have to be an industry expert to give useful feedback. What helps the most is being specific as to why we like or don't like a song. Criticizing a track without a solution is unhelpful and can put the person into a negative mindset about their project. Be specific and constructive.
Promoting your music in the comment section of another user's post is not allowed.
Sharing non-original music is allowed here, but let us know in the title, so that the community can respond accordingly.
Don't be afraid to give harsh critique, but keep it constructive. Remain polite and respectful. Know the difference between constructive, and destructive feedback. If you can not think of anything to say that is helpful, move onto another song. Destructive criticism isn’t helpful, is discouraging, and hurtful.
When you listen to underground music, you will inevitably run into artists that have never made music before. Because of this, a song might start out very soft, and then jump to a level that might damage the listeners ears. That is a risk not worth taking! Please do not listen to a song at IMF for the first time, while wearing headphones or earphones!!
