I am trying to learn about Finnish culture, and sauna in particular. I have heard that saunas are generally segregated by gender. But I have also heard that Finnish culture is understanding about LGBTQ issues.
My friend has female genitalia, but identifies as male (trans but not transitioned yet). Yes, it is complicated. But they asked me about where they would be for sauna. With the women or the men?
