Pretty much the title.

My dad is one of those "animal lovers". You know the ones. He asks me regularly to "leave veganism for my own good", like if I was forced to be vegan or like if I didn't like being so. The other day he started again with this ramble and I, tired of the same conversation over and over, told him I would never be comfortable eating animals, the same way he wouldn't be chill eating human babies. And then, he entered defensive mode and started telling me I wasn't going to convince him, saying it wasn't the same thing... WELL SHIT! You are the one trying to convince me to change my diet, and I AM just fucking explaining to you why I won't. You don't want me to talk about my vegan ethics? DON'T FUCKING BRING IT UP.

Christ. People come, start a conversation around it by themselves, and then go defensive when you respond. What the hell are they expecting?

I don't want to fucking eat animals or their secretions. What's so hard to understand about it? Leave me alone. Me not being comfrontational doesn't mean I'm a "cool vegan" or a "pick-me" or something like that, I'm just not in the mood to argue because I know doing so will only give me a headache. These conversations are so tiring and annoying.
