Why do people think this? Philly has no good trade partners right now, because most teams are only half filled with players. The better time to trade Harden is during the season before the trade deadline when there will be many more potential suitors for him. Right now it's basically just the Clippers and they're not offering much. Philly would be wise to wait until better offers materialize.

Harden just wants to get paid, it's not like he hates it in Philly. He and Morey want the same thing, so I'm sure if Morey says to just be patient and they will find him a landing spot in December then why wouldn't Harden be OK with that? It only hurts Harden to give more fuel to the perception that he isn't that good anymore and thus isn't worth the money he's seeking. He can throw a fit if he wants to, but I'm guessing even if he does, Philly will get a better offer in the winter than this Clippers pupu platter. Harden can't really threaten them with anything because he's already opted in and the one trade out there for him sucks for Philly. Somebody will eventually top that.
