Salad with NO cheese or dressing. Lol. At that point just don’t say you have vegan options. Friends & family will wonder why you still don’t want to go & you’ll seem difficult. 🙄🙄

My new roommate brought absolutely no kitchen items & uses mine to cook meat on :-(

Everyone has something you have to compromise on when living together but just expecting to be able to use my stuff is not very nice. I don’t want to make a big deal out of it & I want to just let it pass. I’ll wash the dishes with a bleach solution & hope that it’s enough for it to not bother me anymore. It’s a minor thing that really bothers me but since it’s so minor I don’t want to make a big deal out of it. I don’t mind sharing things but just thinking of the meat juice seeping onto the cookware as it cooks urks me. I’m really sad about this but I’m not comfortable bringing it up since it’s something I don’t want to make into a thing. He usually eats sandwiches & ramen and doesn’t use my things besides plates & bowls so I’m not stressed out about it often. Does anyone else work around having roommates or people that share the same cookware/dishes as meat eaters?

Does anyone else have this super minor pet peeve with restaurants?

I hate it when menus just have a “v” next to some items and a "vg" next to others without explaining which one is vegan and which one is vegetarian. Usually, you can tell by eliminating one or the other if one of the options explicitly has a dairy product, but this isn't always the case and I've definitely seen menus go both ways with which symbol matches with which option.

This is definitely a minor problem because I should be happy that they're going out of their way to label vegan options (yes, this should be the norm but I'll take what I can get) but it also takes no space to just have a key for the labels 😭

Mostly I just think it's funny :)
