With Chris saying PoE 2 will have about a year of marketing, and Bex now confirming that marketing begins in July, mid-late 2024 release seems likely.

Edit: just for more info, Chris said "i would expect a good year of clear hype marketing" but also said they were hoping for the end of 2023 in the same interview. That interview was about 1.5 years ago so I personally trust the year of marketing over the old proposed release date.

I am going to call August 11th for PoE 3.22, November 24 for PoE 3.23, January 26 for PoE 2 Beta, March 15 for PoE 3.24 (Ultimatum Returns), and June 29th for PoE 2. Beta keys will be given to players who reach 20 challenges in PoE 3.23 on January 26th. Beta keys will be given to everyone on March 15th.

I'm writing this after a month of exclusively playing Diablo 4 and Path of Exile.

It all started when D4 came out. Bough it instantly and basically lost myself in the game for the next few weeks. Got a little bored after reaching the endgame because it lacked build diversity and replayability (keep in mind that this is my personal experience because I'm a diehard ARPG fan who loves playing the endgame loop).

Being a little disappointed in D4's endgame, I decided to switch to PoE exactly because of that - the PoE's insanely rich endgame content. I can't lie, grinding through the campaign and the maps was fun af, but I quickly came to the point that made me quit numerous times in the past. Awful UI, awful space management, and an annoying trading system. To be completely honest, I think the majority of my time was spent on trading and item management - either by having to manually replace all the old Rare items from my stash with the new ones and redoing the pricetags, checking countless pages to find the items I wanna buy, or just general organizing everything time after time.

All of this made me appreciate the small things in Last Epoch after coming back to the game. I know there are dozens of posts highlighting all the awesome things this game has that the contenders don't, but the smaller things are usually left out in these appreciation posts. The freedom to have as many stash tabs as you want without having to pay in $ for new tabs (or just have them limited) was something I used to take for granted before this. Auto-usable potions that heal you whenever you step over them with missing HP was such a quality of life change compared to D4. And of course, not having to waste time on trading and target-farming maps with PhD-level strategies in order to be able to beat the endgame made me realize how awesome this game is.

I know these features may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me, they made a world of difference, and I'm happy to have them as a part of my favorite game.
