So. Who do you want at the trade deadline?

I did see Paul Goldschmidt's name thrown about on Twitter. 2 years left. $44m and having a great year. Im not deluded enough to think it would be cheap. But if the Cards tear down i'd be all over that.

Because she physically was not allowed to be with Charles because of her status.

The whole thing is gross. But had the Queen allowed Charles to be with Camilla instead of forcing him with someone she deemed socially good enough it would have absolutely been avoided.

Given they never stopped their affair the entire time though, you are right that there was no point in her also marrying.

However given the fact she is seemingly on good terms with her ex husband and that he himself had attempted to leave Camilla for a royal (Anne) there may have been more to it than meets the eye. My personal belief was they married out of convenience. But thats nothing confirmed or anything other than speculation

Having sat through the entire 6 hours. I can say it was only mildly more mindnumbing than watching the Twins in the last couple games against the Sox lol

My parents are home with the Aaron Judge Jersey.

Whilst i would wear it anyway at home, im going to now say that every time the Twins LOSE i shall wear it.

Thus we enter a scenario in which if the Twins lose. It means they endorse torture. Thus, as they cant be seen to do so. They will never lose again

[Jones] Jurrien Timber, Josko Gvardiol and the centre-backs Liverpool should be targeting in the summer transfer window by TheNotoriousJN in LiverpoolFC

[–]TheNotoriousJN[S] 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Mostly an opinion piece but with some pieces of information

  • Joel Matip looks increasingly likely to leave in the summer. And with Gomez having a tough year Liverpool may need a CB

  • Josko Gvardiol has been watched by Liverpool. RB value him at around £80m. City and Chelsea are also very interested

  • Levi Colwill is admired by the club. But Chelsea want him as part of their first team squad next year. He is likely to want assurances about playing time from Chelsea

  • Antonio Silva is 19 and very skilled. Benfica will not sell him for a cheap fee

  • Jurrien Timber has been linked to Liverpool and Jones believes his versatility and profile makes sense for Liverpool. He is expected to leave for £35m

  • Goncalo Inacio has been linked with Liverpool, Newcastle and Man Utd. He will supposedly be available for £40m. Liverpool have checked in on the availability of Ugarte from Sporting.

  • Jarred Branthwaite has impressed on loan at PSV. Liverpool scouts have been watching him. (I want to see Evertonian piss boiled. So give me him)

  • Kim Min Jae, Nayef Aguerd and Marc Guehi are all mentioned. But none have been actively linked to the club

Mount wont end up at 80m because Chelsea have 0 leverage. No Europe, FFP nightmare and a final year of his contract.

Homegrown players are pure profit for FFP. There is 0 chance they let him run it down and leave

Its smart. But also makes me question some of the links.

Saying we wont overpay. Yet Brighton want 80 million for Alexis MacAllister supposedly. AM isnt worth that. So hopefully we're working deals in the background

[Joyce] Jürgen Klopp: Liverpool will not be held to ransom over summer transfer targets by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]TheNotoriousJN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jürgen Klopp says Liverpool will not be held to ransom over summer signings and will move on to alternative targets if rivals use their desire for midfield reinforcements to ramp up prices.

The Liverpool manager said he was “pretty confident” the club would “bring in the players we want” as he accelerates plans to freshen up his squad.

Liverpool are pursuing a number of players to bolster their engine room, with Alexis Mac Allister, Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch among those who have come under consideration. James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all leave Anfield on free transfers this summer.

The rebuild has been well trailed, with Liverpool prioritising multiple signings rather than pursuing an interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, who would swallow up a huge chunk of their budget given his £130 million price tag.

Yet, while Liverpool’s desire for midfielders is clear, Klopp insisted the club would not pay a premium and are not susceptible to prices being artificially inflated.

“We cannot buy the player then. If they are overpriced, we cannot do it,” he said.

“We will bring in players. I am pretty sure we will bring in the players we want and those who will help us. I am pretty confident of that. You never know 100 per cent until they are signed, but it is not new that some clubs might try that.

“You might have a favourite [target] but if the other club doesn’t want to sell, or someone else will pay the price, we cannot go with it. But usually, we got the players we wanted.”

Klopp’s bullishness was further reflected in his optimism that Liverpool — who can close the gap to within a point of fourth-placed Manchester United with victory at home to Brentford tomorrow, although Erik ten Hag’s side will have two games in hand — will be a far tougher proposition next season.

Their present five-match winning streak is their best of the campaign and Klopp has liked what he has seen, with elements of Liverpool’s game back to their best.

“Counterpressing is again a law and not a proposal,” he said. “The signs I saw are really promising and I am happy with that. Another four games, a break, then a proper pre-season and we will be strong.”

By then, Milner will be at Brighton & Hove Albion, with the 37-year-old moving to the south coast on a free transfer despite Klopp seeking to keep him at the club.

“He knows how highly I rate him,” Klopp added. “[He is] an incredible part of the team and I would love to work with him even longer. Nothing positive in the last 7½ years would have happened without James Milner.”

Fuck knows. He got a posterior elbow injury. It was supposed to be a month. Doubled at minimum.

At this point i half expect to have seen the last of him in a Twins uniform

Edit: He's got a 2nd opinion next week on his elbow. The plan is for him to take a month off, then spend 2-3 weeks ramping up
