Edwards was not impressive in summer league. Who all got off the bandwagon and who is staying on? We're keeping receipts here.
Each year we always have a player that we’re really high on and sometimes the team takes them in the draft, other times they don’t. Sometimes it benefits well, proving we as armchair GM’s suck and other times we look smarter than our actual GM.
Below is a list since 2009 of who we took each year and their pick number
2009- Tyreke Evans (4) 2010- DeMarcus Cousins (5) 2011- Bismack Biyombo (7) -> Jimmer (10) 2012- Thomas Robinson (5) 2013- Ben McLemore (7) 2014- Nik Stauskas (8) 2015- WCS (6) 2016- Marquese Chriss (8) -> Papa G (13), Malachi Richardson (22), Skal (28) 2017- De’Aaron Fox (5), Zach Collins (10) -> Justin Jackson (15) and Harry Giles (20) 2018- Marvin Bagley (2) 2020- Tyrese Haliburton (12) 2021- Davion Mitchell (9) 2022- Keegan Murray (4) 2023- pick traded (24)
Looking back and depending on how long you’ve been a Kings fan for, was there a player that REALISTICALLY you thought could slip to the Kings that year and wanted or a player that the Kings didn’t take and was taken later?
Hoping our scouts were some of the dozen plus at his workout in Vegas. Sounds like he looked great (looked a little bigger from the short clip I saw). His passing would be such a nice complement to this squad. His BBIQ and Passing with these shooters would be chefs kiss
Fellow Kings fans: I think it would be amazing if we had some clever chants or songs at the game besides “D-fense!” And “refs you sucks!” (Not that we should get rid of those)
I unfortunately do not have any lyrical creative skills, but I KNOW that some of you do. The best European soccer chants are player specific, so if we could get a Fox, Sabonis or Keegan chant going that would be amazing. Comment any and all lyric ideas and let’s make a Kings chant.
I have no clue about what it takes to fund a pro BB team, so let me start with that caveat.
Per Forbes Mr. Randive is worth about 800 million. He’s 65% owner/shareholder.
Now that we are seeing salaries grow and this team needing to spend more today and likely even more in the near future…are we funded well enough to compete?
I know nothing about the remaining 35% minority owners and their ability to invest more or even how they do that.
Can anyone explain this in layman terms? How are we positioned for the coming max deal DeArron will command? I’m guessing in 2 years he will be eligible for somewhere near 300 million…?
Are we in the red or black annually?
