In 2013, a trans woman would go on and play a prisoner in a female prison. This show became wildly popular, even propelling Netflix's sales and helping Netflix become more than just a DVD rental service.

Was there screaming, kicking, and shouting from FOX? Hardly. Were there "feminists" throwing temper tantrums about rape? Nope. Were there calls to boycott Netflix and people shooting their Netflix paraphernalia? Also no. In 2013, nobody gave a flying fuck.

If you want the most glaring evidence that all of this stuff about trans people is completely manufactured and that people are just jumping onto a bandwagon for political clout and to sell outrage for fame and fortune, here it is. One of the biggest shows on TV/streaming and nobody cared. It also shows that trans people existed and were in the public eye before 2015/16, which ties into the reality that transphobia has been nothing but a branch off of homophobia by radical American Christians and conservatives who needed a new group to attack after they lost the battle over gay marriage.

Which, btw, you can say the same thing about RuPaul's drag race. That was way back in 2009. Again, nobody gave a damn.
