Hello,
We have a Tesla Inverter installed for about 5 weeks and it has been operating fine. We received permission to operate today. Using the Tesla app I can see the basic details.
I have tried to login to the inverter occasionally with a web browser and when I connect I see the login screen flash quickly and then get automatically redirected to an 'Upgrade' page. So it goes from https://192.168.1.XXX/ to https://192.168.1.XXX/upgrade/. Hopefully my attached screenshots will work.
One screenshot is the redirected page. The other screenshot is the fast instant I did a screen capture to see the login page before it redirected.
Has anyone else seen this? I was going to wait a few days after PTO in case there was something that Tesla had to do on their end, but had some time tonight.
I used the Tesla Pro app to connect to the inverter and it says that there is no update available. That should be the third screenshot.
Thanks!
I just had my Tesla Solar Panels (QCells) installed a couple of weeks ago. I recorded the install from the street, because I wanted to create a timelapse. I noticed one of the installers walking (running?) across the panels towards the end. It seems like he didn't want to take the time to walk around the left side of the roof. I reached out to QCells and they mention that they said:" As per our installation manual, walking on panels may cause micro cracks, causing performance drop.". I know there is a performance guarantee for 80% of performance for 25 years, but since this just impacted about half of the panels, I'm thinking that it will be hard to see if these specific panels are degraded, because the whole string could still be at 80%. There are 2 strings on this roof, but I'm not sure how they are laid out. I'm planning to ask Tesla to replace the 8 panels in the center because you can clearly see them flex as the installer quickly walked across them.

I am 100% frustrated with u/TeslaSrolar since the beginning of the planning phase the communication was a little weird and slow, but wait until you have problems; you are going to be on your own like I am at this point. I called Tesla yesterday because my system was down after the rain last Saturday. BTW, their customer support doesn't work on weekends so keep this in mind (going off the grid with Tesla is not an option pick another player); I had to wait until Monday after hours googling looking for a number to call because they suck on customer support and don't want you calling them.
Their app leads you to chat or email after giving you a terrible troubleshooting session which is worthless since I am not an electrician or specialist and the system is 100% down after a rain; something happened so there's nothing I can do, of course.
Today, I would go for it if I could get my money back. No answer, no feedback, no commitment from support to call me or anything.
That is the worst experience I have had with a provider so far.
If someone works for TeslaSolar and is reading this, please get in touch with me.
My system is "pre" PTO, they say they are trying to get the installation team back here. A person called Angel from support is the one answering my emails, but so far nothing is happening and I have zero feedback on the status, no emails/ calls/ texts if someone will even come here some day to check the system to get it fixed.
