Cross posted with r/MkeBucks with some minor adjustments

Hey all, Craig here.

I used to be a relatively frequent r/MkeBucks and r/NBA shitposter back in the day spreading the good word of my favorite NBA player, Malcolm Brogdon. A few years back, I took a backpacking trip through Eastern Europe and admittedly making some poor decisions which led to an extended stay in a Russian prison. Recently, I was released and was able to make my way back towards my friend's place in Munich who's been debriefing me on some pop culture events that I missed while we work towards rebuilding my life. Side note, Shazam's my favorite super hero and I can't wait to watch both his movies!

I know nothing about the current state of the NBA, just that my Bucks won a title. How's the league looking? Any up and comers? New strong teams? Exciting storylines?

Every post is littered with Haha and Angry reactions, with the comments full of "Let Kai play"

I'm a pinoy NBA fan myself, and while I still want to be proven wrong, I really don't think Kai Sotto is NBA-ready. He's too slow for the NBA game, he's too soft for his preferred Pau Gasol-lite playstyle if he's matched up against NBA bigs, and he couldn't even see consistent minutes in the NBL.

There have been way too many people in his ear and involved with his every move, and I really think he spoiled what little chance he had at making the NBA when he (at the advice of his meddling circle) decided not to play for G-League Ignite so he can go play for our National Team. He wouldn't even accept offers to play for European basketball clubs to really improve his game, he didn't accept offers to play college ball in the US, and he left the NBL to play for an inferior Japanese League. He's had so many chances to play in an environment where he can really improve his game but he keeps taking the easy way out. Of course he'll stagnate and not see NBA Clubs offer him a legitimate chance

Now the Orlando Magic's FB Page are full of ranting pinoys who have bad reading comprehension and think that Kai Sotto is an NBA-ready player if he was just given a chance. It's giving me second-hand embarrassment.

Kai Sotto is still at a point where I'd be more surprised if he gets a training camp invite than if he gets waived. I'd really like to be wrong about this, but I just don't see it. Meanwhile, if you're a pinoy redditor NBA Fan reading this and you're guilty of trolling the Magic's social media, stop making a fool out of yourself.
