any tips on winning 1v1/2's with a wingman? by TochtStripje in apexlegends

If I wanted to 1 v 2, I'd drop the wingman and use a PK.

I just hit immortal recently but I'm extremely inconsistent by xsooonta in VALORANT

I also feel the same way. I take it as I need to learn more playstyles to match different types of teammates and against different types of players (when I solo queue)

Honestly try to be watching minimap and your teammates.

Overwatch 2 Will Record Voice Chat, Requires a Phone Number to Play by LordPhipsey in privacy

[–]kdevkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you visit the valorant subreddit, everyone has been asking for phone number verification to counter the smurf problem, which is probably the game's number 1 problem. Surprised blizzard is doing this out of the gates. Very interesting in how well it does. Most claim it works well for csgo.

Fade is more than just taking site. Her intel is useful for mid round and post plant.

As a whole they lacked flashes and intel on attack which is useful for post plant as well. Viper provides mollies but thats about it. Its easy to play around if you know its coming. They had rounds where they used the mollies for post plant but failed due to flanking and predictability. Flanking was possible because of their lack of info so in a sense its because of the viper. I'd pass playing viper on haven given the rest of their agent picks for this map.

I solo queued to immortal. If are improving you will on average climb.

Deathmatch spawns make the mode unplayable by Zestyclose-Tap-2473 in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I get shot in the back I move on. Don't really see an issue with it since it's not part of what I'm really focusing on, e.g. crosshair micro adjustment and movement / counter strafing.

What can a bronze III player learn from watching the pro tournaments? by lar_mig_om in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably just focus on crosshair placement (e.g. intuition of where to be focusing on on top of the usual put on headlevel) and overall movement (e.g. how to move and shoot and fake out with jiggles and jump peeks)

The lack of controllers and being explained how to play my main by Necessary-Gate-4910 in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worth noting that walls depends on how the team wants to play. Different ranks use different kinds of walls. As an imm controller player, theres different walls for different rounds and depending on who wants to do what. Also, you can voice out on some rounds how you want someone to push or play given a type of wall.

Full teams gold and win then next game full teams of silver bronze and unranked by LickMyBread in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of factors in mm and I wouldn't look too deeply in 1 or 2 instances. If I were to examine your 2 screenshots:

Your first game with almost full gold lobby, you placed 3rd from bottom in ACS. You had a hard carry that is supposedly matched with the G3 from the other team. Overall it looks like you did below average. Sometimes these games where its at your rank or higher, mm is figuring out if it should place you higher. Since it didn't find those results, you stay or go a bit lower. Your next game, you get that result where you are in a primarily silver lobby. You are now supposed to be the hard carry.

Or maybe don't look too deeply and that mm didn't find a lobby of all G1s for you. Who knows.

Why do more people use cross-shaped crosshairs as opposed to a dot? by tempermentaltyrant- in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a dot. I find a cross obfuscates objects like a person especially at far distances. But honestly i dont even look at my crosshair when shooting. Im just staring at what i want to hit.

Unpopular opinion: DM is NOT the best way to warmup if you are easily tilted by Thrillorion in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can take a break. Just stop for a minute. Or are you saying you really care about trying to win the DM? Imho DM is a place to just practice what you need. Dont look too deeply in the scores and who wins. You just need to do what you need to do, e.g. focus on crosshair to head smoothness.

How to improve my babysitting skills within Valorant? by Theanonymousguy49 in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i totally get that. If you can work on that youll definitely improve a lot though. I drastically improved my own game sense and awareness when i spent time playing astra and keeping track of the global events in a round. You might benefit as well! Now i just watch my team move into a site and i quickly place smokes and sucks for backsite etc, without any comms at all. Sometimes they go in because I put them down! Hopefully this helps.

I play a lot of astra and a big thing you can work on is watching your teammates on mini map and place stars for effect in the site they want to hit.

Can we have like 10 seconds before people are allowed to lock in? by TheKindaMan in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I started there game as a sentinel player. But this game rewards you for learning multiple roles and agents. A lot more than people think. At higher elo it's fun filling and seeing all kinds of creativity.

How far can i get with this sh*tty aim? by Macocotickle in VALORANT

[–]kdevkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a bit of a disconnect between in game aiming and the aim training when I first started. The trick is to really take your time to make that connection, to force yourself to think of heads as those dots. And make yourself slowly hit that target. Your first few games will be sketch but trust that it will work out.
