I just read this review of Pale Blue Eye since its on netflix right now, trying to see if its something I might like

He recounts dang near the entire plot of the movie! What good does that do me? I don't need you to tell me all the things that happen in the movie, thats the whole point of watching it! He vaguely describes the characters. Nowhere does he indicate if he actually enjoyed the movie. The review gives me absolutely no clue if he thought the movie was brilliant or terrible. I guess the three star rating is good enough for that?
Ugh. So many shitty reviews out there. I feel like for many reviewers its just a chance to wax poetic and sound smart instead of actually giving the reader a feel for the movie and if they might like it or not. Its not a review, its a commentary. Those are not the same things.
