Hi guys! I currently searching for some APIs, libraries, or tools to generate Animal Sound, like how Soundraw.io and lofigenerator.com do.
After searching for a while, I have come to no results, the only thing that comes up in my search is some sound library and maybe some APIs to get Animal information but have no sound.
So if anyone knows anything, please let me know. Thank you in advance!
I’m in a group that currently uses a shared Google account and zoom. We are not a 501c3 and have no plans to be. We’re just a club.
We have 10-20 in leadership roles and some guests. We’re too poor for the $6 per user per month that major providers want. So I’m looking at other options.
Improvmx isn’t a full scale email provider but it would let us create a contact@ alias that would forward to all of our leadership’s existing emails for $90 a year.
For storage, we probably could get by with 1 TB, accessed through the web. Up to 20 users. I haven’t found a good candidate yet.
For meetings, we need to be able to accommodate up to 50 guests. Needs to be reliable and allow recordings. I haven’t found anything for this either yet.
Help appreciated! I’m only looking at SaaS. Not considering self hosted.
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has ever had to generate a report of users in the organisation who have admin privileges on their machines.
I work for a company of about 180 employees and have been tasked with figuring out who amoung them has admin privileges on their machines. A lot of them do require it for their day to day to install and update various Java based systems, but I would imagine a lot of users have been granted the privileges without really needing it.
We use systems such as LogMeIn, Secunia, Defender, Beyond Trust, and others. I know that you can run a PowerShell command to check this kind of thing out so I could schedule that task using LogMeIn.
Has anyone ever had to do this before? Any help/input greatly appreciated 👍
My company got hit by BlackCat hacks. It's pretty much nerds in BlackCat(groups of nerds) destroying the work other nerds (IT Departments).
It was interesting to see the way these BlackCat nerds operate though.
BlackCat
If your going to destroy my scripts and infrastructure I helped put in place, at least compensate your fellow nerds who work on the opposite side of your hacks especially when we pay you your ransom. I've got months and years of work ahead of me caused by the waves created by your disruptive( and destructive )nerding you did. I was struggling in many ways before you hit us with stressors, this just adds to the levels.
is IT a good career path to go into? I'm good with computers and apple products.
I am looking for a PC or rather case and psu.I am looking to test out software and hardware on an independent computer.
My question is, where can i find a cheap computer with a dead motherboard or cheap psu + case.
I have checked ebay, facebook and amazon
Am in the uk and by cheap i mean £10-£20
All i am looking for is an ancient hunk of metal.Nothing fancy or expensive. I don’t expect caviar for the price of sardines
Just a quick reminder: Try the easiest thing first lol. Spent days trying to track down the cause of my slow Internet speeds. Was running at 11.8mbps down and .03 up no matter what settings I tried. Finally I decided to just try a different Coax. Long story short, I just ran test and am now topping out at 599mbps down/51.8 up! Must have been a bad cable the whole time.
I currently have an associate's degree in criminal justice. I am looking to obtain a B.A. and have since become interested in cyber crime and cybersecurity. I have two options, finish a B.A. in criminal justice with a minor in cyber crime or switch gears and get a B.B.A. in information systems. Both have pros and cons. But I lean towards the B.A. in CJ with minor in cyber crime. The big pro of this degree is that it will be much quicker and more affordable (do to my A.D.).
I know that to work in cybersecurity or cyber crime fields I need to acquire experience; which mean I'll have to start at a help desk and then work my way up. My concern is that I may be less likely to make my way up to good IT roles if I have a B.A. in criminal justice rather than a more typical degree such as a B.B.A. in information systems. Especially with the use of resume reading software.
Will getting this degree make getting a good job more difficult?
I have a theory that for accessibility reasons all versions of Windows can be operated entirely via keyboard - no mouse. But are these hotkey sequences written anywhere? If Windows-F opens the search feature, what other windows hot keys are there?
Tab to change fields - I can never remember if it's shift-tab or alt-tab to go in reverse. What else?
Question
I have a few questions because I'm young, working towards my degree (currently have my Cisco 1 and my compTIA ITF+) and eventually want to own my own company, however this isnt about that. I have had some people ask me about repairing there devices because they have seen me do other peoples for free on the side (phones, PC's, laptops, consoles, printers) and i want to maybe start a small little thing. So here are my questions.
-
Do i have to become a business
-
If i do, do i still need a business license.
-
Is it income that needs to be reported to the IRS
-
Do i need waivers or anything like that.
If i sound dumb and clueless then i apologize!
Now the problem is the phone flickers and jumps around if you want to call someone it might prove difficult because the phone moves on its own this doesn't always happen I'm told it's random.
I responded by looking at what type of phone she has it's a Galaxy A02 from there I went to youtube and Google. Google was saying something about the GPU but wasn't giving me a solution I found a youtube video similar to what I need. To sum it all up in the video I was prompted to go into the settings and turn off hardware overlays and if that didn't work the other method was to disable adaptive brightness.
I did all of this last night at 7 pm maybe and in the morning at 10 am, she said there were no problems but now at 2 pm I've seen it myself the phone is still jumping around.
Here's a link to the video if it helps: https://youtu.be/6Lw7HNx5Qlc
A buddy and I were eating some mushrooms and staring at a fire earlier and were wondering if anyone could tell us how the malware doesn’t escape the virtual machine? I told him it was magic and not really happening even though it’s happening. To which he replied, “no”. Help?
I’ve tried everything I can think of but I wasn’t able to get into contact with an actual microsoft agent without it being a 3rd party website. Is there anything I can do here?
Can anyone recommend a decent landline to ethernet cable adapter? Setting up a home office with very little idea of what is good lol, can anyone help? Ideally one with 2+ sockets?
Thanks! Sorry if not allowed :)
So at work today I was working one updating some staff laptops so everything was up to date and ready for use. easy right? well once I got started I quickly noticed that ever laptop look like it was user at a speed eating competition in the middle of the dust bowl. No big deal I'll just take some time to clean them up everything will be fine. Then I found that one of the keys on one of the laptops was crooked so I pulled it up so I could fix it, and once I did I could see that the ENTIRE key was filled with HOT GLUE. Y'all I swear to god these people are going to kill me!
Hello. This happened a few months ago and it’s been bothering me still. We were recently acquired by a new company and their IT team were reaching out to all of us to configure our work laptops. There was an instance when an IT person reached out to me. They asked to share screen and during this process, they asked me to turn on my personal phone’s hot spot and then connect my work laptop to it…from there, they asked if I have a personal laptop because they needed to do something too..I felt weirded out and just said that I don’t have one. Anyone here knows why the new company did this? Do they have access to my personal phone now? It sounds so sketch….why would they need my personal phone ANNND laptop? We also work from home if this information is needed.
Hey all,
I just got promoted to software manager at my job, and I’m amazed by the fact that there seems to not be any software designed to manage a software library or inventory. Does anyone here have any insight they can provide me on what, if any, software is out there that can accomplish the task of organizing a software library, tracking licenses of said software, and maybe even store different versions of software to track lifecycle? I have at my disposal Team Dynamix for ticketing and physical asset tracking, PDQ Inventory + Deploy for device status monitoring and quick remote software installation, and JAMF school for the apple ecosystem, which I am also responsible for. Thank you in advance.
