How much do U.S. adults think they need to save for retirement?Gabriel Cortes / CNBCSource:
The horizontal bars show the average amounts that U.S. adults think they need to save at least $1.3 million dollars for retirement along with the average amounts they currently have saved, broken down by age bracket.Northwestern Mutual online survey of 2,740 U.S. adults conducted in 2023.
Gen Z is the most confident they'll be financially prepared for retirement when the time comes. Older generations are more pessimistic – more than half of Gen X say they won't be ready, and nearly half of Millennials and Boomers+ (not yet retired) say the same....
In his 1994 letter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, Warren Buffet says:
We made only one minor acquisition during 1994 - a small retail shoe chain - but our interest in finding good candidates remains as keen as ever. The criteria we employ for purchases or mergers is detailed in the appendix on page 21.
Is this "appendix" anywhere online? I can't find it anywhere; it's not available at the bottom of the letter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
