Video game art is a specialized form of computer art employing video games as the artistic medium. Video game art often involves the use of patched or modified video games or the repurposing of existing games or game structures, however it relies on a broader range of artistic techniques and outcomes than artistic modification and it may also include painting, sculpture, appropriation, in-game intervention and performance, sampling, etc.

This is going to be very vague but it's been my white whale for years and finding this subreddit jogged it again. Some things I say might be false so if something fits what I'm saying even a little bit I want to hear it. Sometimes I think I dreamed this entire thing.

Platform(s): PC

Genre: I remember nothing about the gameplay but I think it might have been an art game

Estimated year of release: Going by my age, I'm certain it was 90s

Graphics/art style: A pixelly cartoon style (not pixel art, but the jagged edges you see on old low-res games). Very simple, bright colors. I think you were in a house and there was a boy and a girl. I remember the aesthetic reminded me of old Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. but I don't think it's a Nick game.

Notable characters: My strongest memory of this game is a muppet-looking orange girl with pigtails. I'm pretty sure there was a boy character too but I don't remember him at all. I'm attaching a drawing of how I remember her looking (with the simple jagged pixel drawing style I remember). I remember specifically the flat circular part of her pigtails facing the camera, and the oval nose. She was one of the main characters who talked to you.

Notable gameplay mechanics: THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT BEANS/SEEDS/SEED-SHAPED BEANS. I don't know if you planted them to make plants or fed them to something or both...? I feel like color was important in this game which is why I keep thinking it was an art game, but it might have just been that the bright colors left an impression.

Other details: I think the whole thing took place inside a house.

Thank you for your help!!!
