Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank.

Hi guys,

First of all I want to say thank you for this amazing subreddit! It's my every morning wake up read and I learn a lot about crypto what I should do and certainly what I shouldn't do.

In 2020 I was introduced to crypto through a friend who made a lot of money with the BNB coin. Too had he told me to late, but I can understand that in a way. I bought a little at the hype and a lot more after the Elon Musk debacle. I didn't know what I was doing so I just bought more when it all went down more.

After my first investments I started to study crypto, blockchain technology, different projects and white papers. I was interested, but after that I was fascinated. I believed and still believe in some projects and learned how to DCA in coins and tokens I'm confident with. DCA made me calm and I didn't care to much for the price. When it went down I was OK with it because my DCA price went down, when it went up I enjoyed the green candles and dildos. It gave me hope.

I think I'm too late to become filthy rich of crypto, but I believe my portfolio could go three times from here. BTC at 90K and ETH at 6K isn't unrealistic.

Crypto made me think about money more then I've ever done. It changed my life in a very good way. I stopped smoking to invest money in crypto, my partying days were over, also because of covid, but most important I could get some extra money in crypto. I started to work more and my wife to be supported me with my investments. We even play board and card games for a little money and invest that in a coin every month.

Before crypto I wasn't able to safe money at all. The interest I was getting was never really interesting and I loved to play PlayStation games so I bought them now and then. Now I'm able to safe some money in crypto. I feel confident and we're still enjoying life. We'll go on a trip to Portugal for a while next month and we will get married in 2025.

Just wanted to get this of my chest. I'm a happy man, despite a red portfolio. The future feels bright.

We always tend to talk about how destructive bear markets are and how every investor just fears them and usually even paper-hands before the real bear market even started. The situation was not much different exactly one year ago from today, back then we all probably were full of fear as BTC had plummeted from a high of $48k to under $20k in just weeks thanks to the LUNA scam.

Many also paper-handed back then which caused this crash in the first place and many more thought, just as in the prior bear markets people did, that Crypto is officially dead.

Well, thankfully not everyone did that, in fact the people with commitment, dedication and sheer fucking will, like us, did not do that at all. They instead held onto their coins until now.

Bitcoin Supply Last Active over 1 year chart

Those heros, made up for nearly 69% of the whole supply. That's 13.3M BTC out of the current 19.6M BTC circulating supply. That way we see that by far the majority of holders actually have the conviction to just hold through all of the pain because they know what is awaiting them on the other side of it. Just the smaller portion that sells is way more vocal.

And of course we are all a part of that 69% number, so we must finally step back a bit and look at all the pain we endured, but still prevailed. We truly deserve it to be celebrated by ourselves.
