being GPU bottlenecked is preferable, that should be the harder load in games. 1080ti is a blessing, you'll be alright

thank you very much I try to get around the "link posted more than once" on mobile and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't like recommending my own post I feel like I'm biased here but I'm sure there's some good opinions on the sub, or consult tomshardware or techpowerup

it's just a promotion for all RX 6000's straight from AMD for the past few weeks

[CPU] Ryzen 9 7900 - $369.99 (New w/ Wraith Prism cooler) (eBay, sold by antonline) by Hyper_Nova0 in buildapcsales

I would read the review I linked in my comment. Really the only difference is default power draw. You could tune either one to behave almost identically to the other.

The wraith prism is AMD's proprietary CPU cooler that comes in the box. It's fine at stock power, but you'd want a beefier cooler if you wanted to crank this chip.

have fun learning and building!

This is not the 7900X: at stock, looks to be between a 7700X and 7900X multi-threaded, but only draws ~75W. It can be PBO'd or OC'd to essentially equal a 7900X though. This also has a cooler in box, and an office-class iGPU. (techpowerup)
