Hey,
I made a post few months ago and asked if IOTA will survive. I summarize some points etc. Since then, I didn’t really investigate it because if they make major a step, I will get wind of it.
IOTA 2.0 or nothing!
I decided to investigate it and what I found is again "nothing". They are still speaking of soon which I can’t and won’t take serious anymore.
They put the bar so high for themselves by bashing every competitor in existing and laughing at every fail other companies experience.
To just keep their promise, they need to release a perfect product.
IOTA 2.0 needs to be
- 100% bug free (maybe few small mistakes are allowed)
- It needs to work the way the intended it (no short cuts or working arounds)
- It must be extremely fast and cheap compared to other existing products
Till now they didnt finish the product despite burning through 10s of millions of €. The biggest hype is over and wont comeback anytime soon. Also, they are currently running against the time/money. They are still not really transparent with anything. You never know what is really going on ! Which is the complete opposite of their usual mantra.

Regarding Dominik Schiener. It drives me nuts! Not because he has no clue about money but changing his opinion towards any topic constantly. When the EZB was under fire for being stupid. Dominik Schiener jumped on it and bashed them with memes and even offered to help how to make a better financial product. Now he deleted this tweet and says crypto won’t replace FIAT currency. The worst of it people believe him. My friend sended me his views all the time and when I called him out and showed him that he sended me the opposite he deleted the old WhatsApp messages and don’t talk to me anymore.
What is going on ? I also read the comments on "critical" articles (which aren’t they just say IOTA is in hot water) and people go absolute nuts. They are losing their minds. How delusional you need to be to say that IOTA will 100% survive? Who are these people? It feels like pure insanity at this point.
That was my opinion I wonder what you think?!
Disclaimer:
Before some weirdos call me out that Im frustrated because I went all in. Iota makes currently like 2-3% of my total portfolio. The rest is in stocks. I dont care going to zero but the management drives me crazy.
