Been re-watching Long Way Round - Ep06/7 - Yakutsk to Magadan (The Road of Bones). Suddenly felt awfully familiar. That KamAZ is a beast!

I love this series but this scene always made me wonder if the truck was arranged. The show makes it seem like he just happens to be empty and travelling the same way as the bikes. Just seemed too convenient. Still one of my favourite mini series along with band of brothers and from the earth to the moon.
Must admit, I had the same thought this time round. At the very least, I'm sure they travelled with a lot of "petty cash" to pay for local help when they needed it.
