Hello, I'm quite concerned. I've owned the 7800X3D for just under a week, and my temperatures during Cinebench R23 reach 86-87C. Photo: https://ibb.co/82sBj9T Should I be worried? During gaming, the temperatures range from 60-80C, depending on the game. For example, in MW2, I have 75C. The Last of Us - 75-80C. I've tried several options in the BIOS, like CO Curve -30, Soc. Voltage 1.2V, PBO 85W, but the result remains the same. I have a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. In my country is actually 32C. The gaming performance is impressive, but I'm concerned about the temperatures.

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my old PC from 2014. While I've done some research on newer PC components, I feel a bit out of the loop. After considering my needs, I've come up with a preliminary build, but I would appreciate some feedback and recommendations:

  • Case: Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW TG

  • Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI

  • CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake CPU

  • CPU cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i RGB ELITE

  • GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 EAGLE OC - 16GB GDDR6X RAM.

  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6400 BK C32 DC 32GB

  • Storage: Kingston KC3000 SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 - 2TB

  • Power supply: Corsair RM1000x - 80 Plus Gold

  • Extra fans: Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB Elite

The primary purpose of my PC is gaming, particularly CPU-heavy games like Civilization, Europa Universalis IV, and Stellaris. However, I also enjoy playing newer graphics-intensive games such as Cyberpunk from time to time. Additionally, I engage in CAD modeling related to my work and occasionally perform video editing, usually about once a month. Essentially, I need a relatively high end PC that can handle a bit of everything, with a focus on gaming.

I have a few specific questions as well:

  1. Is the motherboard I've chosen suitable for this build?

  2. Will the power supply I've selected be sufficient? Do you have any recommended methods for calculating power requirements?

  3. Are there any obvious compatibility issues I should be aware of?

  4. I am considering replacing the i9-13900K with the i7-13700K as it offers similar performance while allowing me to save some money. Does this seem like a reasonable choice?

Looking for some help with a build. Want the CPU/motherboard to be somewhat future-proof so sticking to DDR5 compatible memory. Looking to play new-ish games at 1440 resolution and some ML research. First time doing this, so looking for any egregious errors or obvious changes.
