Teachers of Reddit, what challenges have you faced when trying to incorporate inquiry-based learning into your classrooms? by Rainmire in education

That's an interesting insight. Our intention is not to have classrooms shift to 100% IBL, but rather include it occasionally as a supplement.

I agree that it is difficult to apply IBL to students who just don't care about learning at all. However, I also think there is opportunity to elevate the educational experience for the students who want to be challenged.

I see. It seems like a lot of people I've talked to consider time to be the biggest barrier to IBL. Hypothetically, if you had assistants in the classroom that helped guide each student in their inquiries, would that help reduce the barrier?

So to summarize, is it safe to say the primary pain points are establishing the foundational knowledge needed for IBL, time spent on preparing/teaching using this method, and managing student expectations relative to regular lessons?

I totally agree, and I don't think it is idealistic at all. I posed this question because I am working on a software platform intended to bring guided inquiry to more classrooms, so I want to understand the challenges that teachers face.

I used React-Query for my latest project. Great thing about it is that each component handles its own data fetching

What did the Reddit blackouts actually accomplish? by Ext_JuniorYT in AskReddit

It brought attention to the problem, but in the long term, not so much. That's why I'm working on a Reddit alternative called Grapevyne. It's in the very initial stages right now with only the core functionality, but my plan is to make this a platform where the communities have full control over their own content, as well as offer a free API.

I'm building a Reddit alternative called Grapevyne. It's got the basic functionality of a community platform and I plan on exposing a free public API if there is enough interest. I'd love to get feedback on it, positive or negative!

Thanks for the feedback! I wholeheartedly agree with these points, especially differentiation. I put this together very quickly so I didn't have time to add anything beyond the basic functionality, but I do plan on trying to add additional features to make this more than just a straight up clone of Reddit

Just though I'd throw this out there - this situation with Reddit inspired me to throw together a new community platform (onthevyne.com). Right now it only has very basic functionality like posting, commenting, making communities, etc. I'm adding more features very soon, and if there's enough interest in it, I'll make an API available for free.
