Cnetz opinions on Weibo/Douban/Bilibili

First time posting. I saw the other post about knetz opinions so I thought it would be interesting to share what I have seen on the Chinese platforms. Unfortunately, they are generally really negative because people seem to blame and put down contestants for mnet's unfairness. Feel free to jump in in the comments if you have other perspectives to share.

- generally, F4 and "visual" contestants are popular. Out of them, I don't know who really has more fans but Yujin seems to have the most intense fans while Hanbin's fans are more low-key

- Zhang Hao is getting lots of love. Ricky and Ollie are also pretty popular. I don't think Jingxiang is that popular.

- some of the eliminated Chinese contestants like Xuanhao are popular/gaining support because of their looks + people feel that the visuals are being eliminated

- people really really dislike Matthew, Keita, and Jay. Matthew for his screen time and (perceived) forced storyline, getting 2nd place, and height and visual. Keita for his height and body. Jay for his screen time, visual, and various allegations (I am surprised how those are debunked on reddit but cnetz took them as 100% facts; it feels like he really has no one on his side)

- Hiroto has lots of fans and they resent mnet for not giving him screentime. People find Takuto cringe. I feel like initially, Anthony had more hype but it feels reduced now.

- initially, Gunwook was disliked due to perception of mnet push, but it feels like the hate has died down a little. He is gaining fans.

- people seem to not want Hui to debut due to age and (to a lesser extent) height and visual. It seems like reddit values vocals a lot more than cnetz

- a popular saying is "you can fix your dancing/singing but you can't fix ugly/being short" (problematic on all sorts of levels but it is heavily agreed)

This is only a small sample of chinese fans and you can’t judge a contestants popularity by looking at douban alone as someone says here so take it with a grain of salt. It is still good information to keep in mind though! 🙏
