We know that there are at least 9 00 agents at any given time. This means that there are enough evil plots going on to warrant the British government having at least nine agents of Bond’s caliber.

That is a terrifying world in which to live.

Maybe someone was stealing Soviet nuclear weapons and was stopped by 005 while Hugo Drax was plotting to kill the human race, or maybe someone was trying to spark a war between France and Germany while Goldfinger was plotting his Fort Knox robbery.

Either way, we know Bond isn’t alone in MI6. We also know that other governments have agents on his level. Sure, Anya and Wai Lin were both ultimately in the service of their respective governments but it’s reasonable to assume that they stopped their respective fair shares of evil mad men.

In the real world, humanity lived through the threat of nuclear annihilation by the US and USSR. In Bond’s world, there was probably a threat against the entire human race every other week.

An Interesting BO fact about the entire James Bond Franchise

With the exception of Sean Connery, every actor who has played Bond more than once has had their respective 2nd film gross less WW than their 1st film.

The Man with the Golden Gun grossed around 60m less than Live and Let Die

License to Kill grossed around 35m less than The Living Daylights

Tomorrow Never Dies grossed around 23m less than Goldeneye

Quantum of Solace grossed around 26m less than Casino Royale

Also, every actor that has played Bond at least three times (including Connery) has had their respective 3rd movie gross more WW than the 1st and 2nd (not combined)

Just wanted to share that weird fact/coincedence

Quantum of Solace's plot was ahead of its time

Given how water access rights has come to the forefront in recent years as a defining geopolitical issue of our times, with the Citi group having released a report a few years ago suggesting that water could become the driver of World War 3, Quantum of Solace's plot doesn't seem quite so silly now.

I wish they could have pursued similar plots. I never really enjoyed Spectre's plot because it feels as though Skyfall already explored the world of hacking / cybercrimes / electronic surveillance, and similarly felt as though No Time to Die's plot was far too grandiose for my liking.

They would have done better to pursue similar plots with Quantum in Bond's future outings. If they wanted to pursue a plot like Spectre's, they could have explored the idea of nefarious surveillance from the blackmail angle.

Given how complicated geopolitics seems nowadays, I do wish the post-QoS Bond films had played into that more (the exception being Skyfall, which I thoroughly enjoyed).
