The other day when working, I needed to leave work early. I work in a rehab hospital as a therapy tech and I am the only tech who works weekends so im by myself. I asked all of the therapists if they would be okay with me leaving after lunch and they all said it would be cool.

I text my manager asking her as well and she said that it would be a write up because I'm at my max for unexcused absences. I was incredibly confused because I have only called out 1 time and it was almost a year ago.

I asked her what dates does she have me as a call out and she said that she didn't know off the top of her head.

I asked her about the days that I was sick or injured and she said those count against me as well. I also asked about ETO and she said that eto doesn't count against you.

Well, I went to our schedule and looked at the previous year and could see all of the days that she had me marked as called out.

And then I went to our text messages to compare and one of the days marked as a call out I had put ETO in for and she had agreed that it was okay.

A few more days were days that I needed switched. I would work on my off day and be off on a work day but she would put me down as a call out. Our text exchange for those days shows that she was cool with me doing that and never expressed that it would be counted against me.

And then the other days were days that I had doctors notes which stemmed from problems that honestly come from working because I walk all day and lift patients a lot.

I talked to HR and she said that approved switched days and doctors notes shouldn't count against me.

So now I'm in the process of sending an email to my manager, HR and the CEO with the dates I'm marked as called out and a Screenshot of our text messages under it and asking if I am able to get those Call outs deleted.
