Not a ton of room to avoid without striking another car. During winter those streets are effectively 1.5 lanes instead of 2.

Just that they couldn’t see around the truck parked 15-18 feet from the alley.

Glass is around 4.5oz volume. All spirits were kept refrigerated and stirred on heavy large cubed ice. Dilution was minimal…but I understand what you’re saying.

Milk punch is Portuguese style. Equal parts dairy/booze/sugar by weight. Half a lemon is enough acid to break the milk/cream. Let sit for 12 days and strain.

If that means just what’s in the cupboard then no. Thought behind this was playing off a Manhattan. Milk punch replaces sweet vermouth, the burdock and marshmallow roots add a nice bitter/tannin. Sherry replaces dry vermouth.

Stonehill Kitchen in Bigfork is worth the trek from Whitefish. Great wine list, Sommelier on site, and the food is on point!

I love putting a high quality cocktail cherry in my old Fashioned but I read so many experts and purists saying that it’s not part of a classic and proper recipe for this legendary drink. Are they right? by [deleted] in cocktails

I prefer a cherry although not needed, and as many have said is not the OG preparation. The one that kills me is all of these online recipes saying to use club soda as part of the cocktail preparation. Barf.

I check [spaceweather](www.spaceweather.com) to see when there’s a forecasted possibility and a few different apps for looking at the current solar wind speed/Bz/KP numbers from the satellite data streams available out there
