Hi all! I am a high-risk (type 1 diabetic) young adult who received 5 Pfizer vaccines (the latest booster was in September 2022). I also recently had a mild case of COVID in mid-April 2023 that I am recovered from. I never heard of Novavax until a few months ago and I was wondering if there is any information on when to get the full Novavax vaccine series after having a COVID case on average + if the previous Pfizer vaccines prevent me from getting the initial Novavax vaccine (or should I stick with the most recently Novavax booster)? I live in the U.S. and I really want to switch to get the full Novavax vaccines after reading how much more protection it offers relative to the mRNA vaccines and I would want the full protection while receiving it safely. Also those in the U.S. (specifically the DMV area) who have received mRNA vaccines, have you had any problems getting the Novavax (did you lie, leave your vaccine cards at home, easily receive them, etc)? I understand there isn’t exactly a perfect answer but anyone who has insight on this feel free to share!
