hey im new to fitbit only been wearing it 3 days. im 5'11 294lbs. My app is saying i burned 4488 calories just by walking 11000 steps is this a glich because it seems way to high. thanks

What is Fitbit’s resistance to making a night mode?

Seriously. Why does my sleep-tracking app have the brightest, most-obnoxious UI design? Are they not making enough money off our data to spend a little to give us some color scheme options?

I mean hell, I could get custom skins on Winamp back in 2001. But it’s 2023 and the app I pay $79 a year for can’t help my eyes out during evening time.

I keep coming back to fitbit like an abusive relationship

They tend to die right after the warranty finishes, it just is what it is. But every time one dies and I'm looking for alternatives I keep coming back to fitbit because they always seem to have the best balance between cost, battery life and accurate health stats.

Sure, there are other watches that can do a decent job at each of these things, but from reviews each time it seems like either their step tracking isn't as accurate, heart rate tracking isn't as accurate, sleep tracking isn't as accurate and/or battery life is only 1-2 days, etc etc. Either that or they cost $400+ compared to fitbits at $200-300. I don't care about smart functions beyond being able to read text messages and send the short messages that we can do.

My wife's Versa just died, and my Sense has a cracked screen. I am eyeballing other brands, but I keep coming back to fitbit. Any suggestions? Should I break the cycle or just get more fitbits for both of us?

How do medical providers feel about FitBit Pulse Stats?

So I am seeing a new cardiologist for the first time on Monday.

I’m 41 and in the past 2 years I have had to get 3 stents.

I eat healthy and spend 1-1.5 hours a day exercising. For the past 2 years.

Anyways about 3 months ago I had to get 2 more stents. Since then I have upped my game and diet and exercise. So got the ol Fitbit sense 3. Blah blah blah…. In the past 3 weeks my resting heart rate has gone down and down and down. I have really kicked up my cardio but only in the past month. Anyways in the past week Resting has fallen from 56ish down to 49 and I am bottoming out for long periods of time at 41-42. That’s pretty freakin low.

Anyways…. TLDR: do doctors believe the pulse rate accuracy? as I am having lots of sub 45 pulse rate for large periods of the day. And think it is a something to discuss.

Se mai poate lucra la Fitbit remote din alt oras ?

Fitbit(Google) mi se par un pic dubiosi in sensul ca in job description zic una si cand vorbesti cu ei zic alta.

Am aplicat pentru doua pozitii la ei care erau remote eligible, una de junior si alta de mid swe. M-a contactat un recruiter din UK sa-mi zica ca pentru aia de mid m-au refuzat ca nu am experienta necesara. Adica in jd scria 2+ ani xp si el mi-a zis ca pentru mid ar fi 4+ ani xp. Pentru cea de junior ma treceau la interviuri doar daca acceptam sa ma mut in Bucuresti intrucat managerii vor ca juniorii sa se duca in stil hybrid la ei fiind 3 zile office si 2 remote.

Practic aia cu remote eligible din alt oras pentru juniori e un fake ca nu te lasa, teoretic doar de la mid in sus. Iar acum vad ca pentru aia de mid au scos optiunea de remote eligible. Cei care lucrati la ei sau ati ajuns sa vorbiti cu hiring managerii, cum e situatia acum ?

Fitbit has disabled WiFi sync with the original Aria, turning it into a dumbscale. Was there any notice?

Noticed that my weigh-ons were being recorded as "Guest" but that "Guest" was not appearing in the App when I went to change them over to myself.

Restarted the App, etc.

Went to Google and Support says to log out of the App and then back in.

When I did this the Aria scale was completely gone from my account. No problem, I will redo the setup.

But when I went to do the process the App told me that they discontinued software support for the Aria and I should get a new device.

The scale still works great, all they did was disable the ability to sync the weigh-ins to my account. Why would I ever buy another product from them? This is not some security hole being closed, this isn't additional updates needed. They merely disabled it to push users to their newer hardware.

It is a scale, not a smart watch, not a phone... a scale. It weighs and does body percentages.

I can't even find anywhere that they mention this was in the works. The only way I figured out the issue was by logging out of my account and back in to see it all go POOF.

Here is a picture on the latest version of the Android App. There is no longer a button to allow you to pair your Aria scale.

6 weeks in and my calorie deficit (food in minus fitbit calculated calories) is exactly what is represented on my scale.

There are reports of fitbits drastically overestimating calorie expenditure, and sometimes after a walk I'm surprised by a high number.

I'm quite active, but I set my TDEE to be if I were super sedentary and then use my fitbit to add on calories burned. My goal NET intake is <1200 calories per day, but I usually eat about 2100 calories per day.

After 6 weeks I've lost 10.5 pounds! If you add up my calorie deficit from my food and exercise log it also comes to exactly 10.5 lbs. (Before and after weights are calculated weekly averages of many weigh ins)

Anyway, just a report that my fitbit (charge 5) does a great job reporting my calories out, so I don't have to be afraid to eat back those calories.

Also... That was the last 10 pounds to loose (out of 30) to get back to my pre-pandemic weight. I'm proud! 🎉
