Dunking on tankies from a leftist perspective. A tankie is someone who defends/supports authoritarian or even totalitarian regimes who call themselves "socialist". The term originated from people supporting the 1956 invasion of Hungary by the Soviet Union. Nowadays they are just terminally online, denying genocides, and falling for totalitarian propaganda and calling such regimes "true democracies".

Autonomous Marxism is a specific point along the Marxist trajectory springing from the social and political movements of the 1960's and 1970's. Autonomous Marxism contains varieties of different accumulations of Marxist thought. Autonomist Marxists are not interested in party politics, but focus on the compositions of struggles and the general precariousness of everyday life under the capitalist political economy.

On Saturday, January 12, 2002, hundreds of neo-Nazis gathered in York, Pennsylvania in an attempt to promote white supremacy. Anarchists and other opponents of fascism throughout the region mobilized to prevent them from achieving their purpose.

Twenty-one years later, a participant in the battle of York recounts the clashes of that day and reflects on what has changed since then, comparing the events in York with those in Charlottesville, Virginia in August 2017.
