Following up on the above post, I was informed by a friend that the dog in question was injured with a fractured leg and became too aggressive to treat while he was waiting at the aforementioned shelter.
While this is incredibly sad, if he had an owner I hope this information reaches them. He looked like he was someone's pet (that's an unusual breed to be a stray and he didn't seem to be poorly groomed) and I can't imagine the pain someone out there might be going through looking for a lost pup that has already passed.
We desperately need dog walkers! Sometimes during the week, the dogs only get ONE walk per day because there aren’t enough volunteers. Dog walking is so easy and fun and so rewarding. For some of the dogs, it’s the only human interaction they get 🥹

Once you take the quiz and are approved to volunteer, choose a time slot for dog training; it’s only two hours. Then you can walk dogs!
