How is Andrew Tang playing so much chess as a full-time quant?

I noticed he’s playing chesscom qualifier now, regularly plays both Titled Tuesdays, and is playing the Marshall Centennial tournament beginning tonight. He mentioned on Twitter he was on vacation last week as well. This seems highly irregular as quant jobs aren’t known for their flexibility and light schedules.

ICYMI: Andrew Tang (kart_ai) reaches highest bullet record (3400) on lichess.org!

After yesterday's stream on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/penguingm1), I think it is verified that we have a new lichess record and an official breaking of the 3400 barrier held by Andrew Tang on the kart.ai account!

https://lichess.org/YUc70RnD -- here is the highest record at 3411 :-)

Interesting to see a longstanding previous record at 3383 by Firouzja broken, and very impressive to beat it by such a large margin.

What are people's thoughts on this! Does anyone think the 3500 barrier can be broken anytime soon, or was it just a combination of good form and/or luck?

One interesting talking point I wanted to start some discussion on is this idea of paranoia. With the rather large cases of cheating recently, it makes sense that we are more skeptical of strong performances. But I wonder how much of the cheat accusations are a consequence of confirmation bias: since Tang's identity on this account was not known, people looked into moves and tried to find reasons to mistrust the account; these instances would have probably not happened had the identity been known early on.
