It really made me sad. Each person he pointed to would be unemployed and frankly virtually unemployable in the modern economy. They cost too much and they work too slow. UBI will allow individuals to pursue the education and training which is valuable in their markets. Bernie and AOC and Hillary are always talking about training programs and all I can think about is a terrible bureaucracy or a fly by night government contractor handing out worthless certificates for imaginary jobs. This is something the free market could do much better, people just need the financial resources to take advantage of it. And the companies making all that profit should pay for it.
