I, as a fan of a member school of the AAC, want the best for the conference we call our home. However, I really think the AAC can do better branding themselves. I feel like we have one of the most generic conference brands in FBS. I know we are a relatively newly rebranded conference (founded out of the ashes of the Big East). And with the changing landscape, we have new teams entering the conference. However, I cannot help but think the conference could brand themselves more uniquely.

Looking elsewhere in G5 to the MAC (MACtion), Sun Belt (Fun Belt) or the Mountain West, they seem to have better cohesive branding for their conference based on their member schools. I think the new AAC has schools who can fit together culturally for the most part, but I just feel like our conference branding can be so much better and not as generic. Depending on the next few years, maybe the new members and the current AAC members can grow to become a cohesive conference?

How could the AAC improve upon marketing themselves? In the G5, it seems like branding and having a united conference is everything, so how can the AAC improve upon their conference image given the new schools entering and the new state of college football beyond?
