I don't have any idea what i've done. i've had the same Windows 10 VM for a couple years now. It's been relatively stable for that time. I use it as my gaming machine and to do some audio recording. Suddenly (late Feb i think?) it stopped working. and by stopped working i mean, it'd show 1 display while the other 2 were off. I have a vbios rom that i'd use to pass it through, and it worked splendidly. I can still boot to 1 monitor and get 800x600 resolution on it. Device Manager shows that the 1050ti has an Error 43. I've tried all kinds of nonsense. I even threw up a new VM from scratch. Same thing. I spent ALL DAY yesterday trying to resolve it to no avail.

Today for shits and giggles I used that same vbios rom and threw a Linux Mint iso at a new VM. Now, i've heard lots of stories about how Linux doesn't like Nvidia cards...but son of a bitch if i'm not typing this post from a 3 monitored Mint VM on my unraid server. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I've done a lot of messing around with the box, including (mostly after this happened) upgrading to unRaid 6.10rc2 (initially to try to help with an nginx logging problem i have) and then upgrading to 6.10rc4 and then downgrading back to 6.9.2. I flashed the bios on my Asus PRIME X370-PRO. like I said, i threw a fresh new Win 10 2004 on it....just...1 monitor at 800x600.

Everything is passing through like i want. Except in Windows. Like I said, i haven't built a fresh passthrhough VM in a couple years, but....what in the heck am i missing? I spent the whole day yesterday messing with it. and now i'm coming to you for help. the Fact Linux Mint is working perfectly makes me think my vbios rom and card and everything are fine. but.....wtf windows?

anyone experienced anything like this? man i feel dumb.
