Yes I know that Hitchcock remade The Man Who Knew Too Much, but what I am talking about is Alfred Hitchcock keeps remaking his own movies, but more polished?

I ask because I stumbled across a post on reddit that really got me intrigued. It states

" This was the period where Hitchcock was taking everything he had done before and making the big budget, glossy, color Hollywood version. The Man Who Knew Too Much most obviously as a remake of his own British film, but North by Northwest is his ultimate innocent man on the run/spy thriller (after 39 Steps, Saboteur, Foreign Correspondent, and Notorious), Rear Window is his ultimate single location thriller (after Lady Vanishes, Lifeboat, Dial M for Murder, and Rope), Vertigo is his ultimate psychological thriller (after Rebecca, Spellbound, and Suspicion), and Psycho is his ultimate murderer thriller with TV influence (Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Shadow of a Doubt, Strangers on a Train, and The Lodger)"

This is something I agree in that North By Northwest, Rear Widow, Vertigo, and Psycho really felt like Hitchcock remaking the films he did before, but with a Bigger Budget, More A List Actors, and Glossier Hollywood version than what he did before. Not saying it's a bad thing.
