What is palæontology? Literally, the word translates from Greek παλαιός + ον + λόγος [ old + being + science ] and is the science that unravels the æons-long story of life on the planet Earth, from the earliest monera to the endless forms we have now, including humans, and of the various long-dead offshoots that still inspire today. This community is open to anyone interested in paleontology, fossils, and evolution.

Hello everyone, we are excited to announce our model of the Absentia Acrocanthosaurus now has the initial textures, skin, and is now rigged and ready for animations.

Stay tuned with us this week, where we'll have another concept reveal revealing the second Animal coming to Absentia Addition's Path of Titans Mod Pack, what animal could it be? Stay tuned to find out!

We are a new mod team that's excited to share are upcoming progress with you all, and we hope enjoy our processes and are just as excited as we are about this project.

Field Studies have been recorded, finding the following studies.

" This animal uses it's large arms massive claws to slash and bleed out animals. After causing bleed, the Acro would then use it's stamina to keep pace with the animal trying to flee if it is a slower creature, I've seen an Acro pursuing a lone bull Parasaurolophus without hesitation."

" I've seen confrontations against Acrocanthosaurs and Tyrannosaurs before over carcasses, but the way the Acrocanthosaur interacts in an engagement is extraordinary. I've seen these animals brace themselves, and shove themselves forward to mitigate oncoming attacks! I've seen the Acro attempt to block oncoming heavy damage and bone crushing bites during it's hunts to prevent severe injuries. However, I don't see the Acrocanthosaurus do this move very often.. could it be tiring to do this?"

" I once witnessed a pack of Utahraptors try taking on an Acrocanthosaur, vicious beasts they are. But the Acro.. if the Utahraptor is a Beast, the Acro is a behemoth. I saw an unlucky Utahraptor during this confrontation being the perfect case for the wrong place at the wrong time. When one of the Utahraptors started tearing into it's hide and hopped off to prepare for the next attack, the Acro rose up and smashed it's foot down upon the Raptor, crushing the thing to bits. It almost makes me pity those things... almost. "

More documentation is required.

My grandfather bought it for me for Christmas, but I'm skeptical. Wanted to ask people with more knowledge about this.
