Hello! I bought an Amiga 1200 off ebay, everything's working great except some keys don't work (lshift) the "ù" key near the enter key (italian leyboard), caps lock, left shift and I can't reboot using the ctrl+amiga keys, had not the opportunity to test the kyeboard via testing software as I have no way of passing stuff from pc (waiting for cf hdd kit to arrive) and couldn't have tested the function keys.

What could be the problem do I need a new membrane or could i try cleaning it? Any tips on how to clean the membrane? Also seems the membrane could be a little dirty as some keys work if you press them harder.

Somebody mentioned online that if you need to buy a new membran they advised to buy hard pcb membranes (like this one https://retroready.one/products/hard-membrane-keyboard-replacement-for-amiga-500-amiga-1200) but are slightly more expansive. what are your opionions about it?

Thanks!

edit: spelling

edit2: thanks to everybody who shared their advices!

Edit3: Amiga keys are working you just have to press harder, same thing goes for caps lock but led don't turn on. haven't manage to make ctrl and left shift work yet, seem the only keys that are not responsive, probably the keyboard has a lot of dust and gunk.

Will try to take it apart and clean it, I just need a quiet afternoon to take my time and carefully do it. Hopefully a membrane replacement won't be necessary as I don't see patterns like a whole row or colum not working. Ordered a keycap remover from amazon as well.
