Pain on roof of mouth?

Question

Anybody else experience bad pain in the roof of the mouth with paxlovid? I'm on day 4 of the drug, and I seemed to start experiencing a lot of symptoms today and am not sure if this is the covid or the drug. Notably, GI, the metallic taste (which is the drug, I know), sneezing and this awful soreness in the roof of my mouth. Like I ate way too much captain crunch, except I've mostly been eating soft foods, so it doesn't make sense.

My covid tests have been negative since day 2 on the drug.

Any tips for ensuring a full recovery?

I tested positive with symptoms on Monday, Feb 13 and started taking pax for five days on Tuesday, Feb 14. I was testing negative the following Monday, Feb 20, but then rebounded on Thursday, Feb. 23. I took pax for another five days, then tested negative on Wednesday, March 1. Now it’s Sunday, March 5 and I’m still having symptoms — my breath is short and my heart is laboring, both off & on. It’s been three weeks since onset. I’ve been eating healthy, not drinking, and not walking (my usual exercise). I’m 49F, five vax shots. Should I be super worried, or is this a pretty normal illness course? Is there anything else I can do to get rid of these lingering symptoms?

Help!

I've been peeing a different color since October, I have Gastroparesis and fat deposits around my liver. I'm scared to try this medicine and I'm scared to not try this medicine.

Unsure if I took Paxlovid from a false positive

Question

I tested extremely faint positive with a throat+nasal swab after a scratchy throat and feeling run down. However, nasal only swab was negative.

I requested Paxlovid and started taking it the next day. My throat+nasal swabs were still faint positive on Day 2. No fever, body aches or any other symptoms other than a sore throat and mild congestion.

I tested negative on both nasal and throat swabs after just two days on Paxlovid which is great! However, I read a few comments here that throat swabs can give false positives due to ph levels in the throat. Given that I had the faintest positive lines and only a sore throat as a symptom, I’m now unsure if my first tests were false positives or perhaps Paxlovid is that much of a miracle drug!

Would a PCR test at this point help shed any light?
