To any Y12 worried about their grades and not being able to improve in x amount of time I sat mocks in April and got straight C’s and my mocks in late may/early June I came out with A*’s.

There is always time and room for improvement! <3

I feel so empty now it's over

I have now finished my a levels. My last exam which was nazi germany was yesterday and now I'm just done. 7 years I was in that school and I'll never be going back. What am I supposed to do now. I would spend night wake doing business work but it's all done.

I have finished sorting everything out for uni, such as my accommodation and student finance. My actual job is really slow right now, I'm a waitress.

What am I supposed to do with my free time. 7 years of school just finished on a random Friday. Does anyone else feel like this? I'm not even happy it's over even though I hated school, I just feel empty.

This is half a rant and half wanting to see if it's just me who feels like this

Should I take A level History or Politics?

I’m in year 11 and i’m not sure if i should pick history or politics for a level. I heard that Politics isn’t well-regarded by most universities as it is “easy”, so if that’s the case then I do not want to take it as i hope to go to a good university in the future. I also heard that history is very content-heavy and hard to keep up with. Any advice?

The other A Level options I’m considering to take alongside history or politics are biology, chem, and psychology. I will not take four A levels, I’ll just settle on three out of these five by the end of summer. I don’t want to take both history and politics because I could end up doing something completely unrelated to humanities in the future and therefore I don’t want to limit my options.

Note: I have no clue what I want to do in the future so i want to take one essay writing subject to keep my options open, I took GCSE history and I enjoyed it, I’m quite good at essay writing.
