Along with static combat, they also think collision system is an essence in combat for Lineage-like games. And they will never change this combat system.

Please don't bring up Lineage2 here for comparison because it's no longer viable comparison since NCsoft doesn't care that game and it isn't making money for them anymore.

This combat system is what NCsoft has been using for all their recent new games such as L1M(2017), L2M(2019), LineageW(2021), TricksterM(2021) and BnS2(2021)

Here is LineageW demonstration happened in JP and NCsoft proudly showed this scene. Fun fact is that, their invited guests didn't even try to hide their disappointed expression while watching it.

Keep in mind. LineageW was supposed to be coming as a global launch. However the game got canceled in the western market a day before launch day while it was still available in KR, JP and TW. Then they delayed it to 2022 Q4 then no news at all since then. At this point, probably we already know why it was never launched in the western market in the end because it was going to be obvious result.

Despite this system will be unwelcome by the western players, NCsoft knows this will surely work in Asia market. It is the combat system what whales want. In this combat, they can just easily handle 1vX combat without much effort and control beside of spending money while demonstrating their dominance on other players.

Don't expect any change in their combat system. This is what they have been doing and they know it's going to work regardless in Asia market. If lucky enough, it may attract some western whales too since TL has modern graphic and hype train as the newest mmo. And that's what NCsoft is aiming for.
