My girlfriend's father is a physicist that leads a team at CERN. Where they mostly focus on modeling and computer programs. I've seen firsthand how his views on the UAP topic changed in a short amount of time.

We first met in early November. The topic of UAPs came up after throwing back a few beers. His initial response was "no one in the scientific community is talking about it". He went on to say he didn't think much of it, and couldn't weight in without looking at data. He wrote if off as a possible black box program. Which is fair enough.

However, fast forward to Mother's Day weekend, he shifted his stance. What changed? He saw the metal orb video released during the recent Senate hearing. He brought it up with a bit of a nervous, confused tone in his voice with wide eyes, "The physics doesn't make sense". He started asking me for more resources, what the government response has been and if there's any other scientists that have taken an interest in the topic. I pointed him towards Garry Nolan and Avi Loeb where he expressed excitement after reading more about their credentials.

He's now keeping track of the topic, regularly asks questions and mentions the updates that are coming out. I know a lot of folks in this space are exhausted and sometimes roll their eyes when something new comes out. That said, I found it encouraging that even a short clip was enough to convince a CERN physicist that UAPs is a serious topic.

I think there's more hope for this topic than before. What information we take for granted is world changing for possibly many other people. Not sure if anyone else had similar experiences, but I'm seeing it far more often with friends and family in recent months.

Edit: Fixed the grammar mistake

Edit 2: Happy to provide the mod team evidence
