I don’t care what kind of car I drive. As long as it reliably gets me from here to there. But I don’t get the excitement over electric. It requires mining minerals. It requires transportation. It requires fossil fuel electric generators. Nothing about them screams “green energy “. What am I missing?

A while ago I saw an article talking about light speed being broken, seems cool and I was curious what would come out of it, months later and nothing I saw came up, checked the internet, and looking for light speed broken gave a lot of results related to the article, but nothing more, no talks about technology or implications or followup research beyond one to check it works again, and yes, it worked again.

So what's up with that, was that debunked or something, shouldn't it be bigger deal? It happened years ago by the dates on the articles.
