Today is tail emission's 1st anniversary!

Exactly one year ago, on June 9th, 2022, Monero tail emission started: https://p2pool.io/tail.html

Ever since that day, Monero emission is 0.6 XMR/block, or 0.3 XMR/minute (157,788 XMR/year).

Migrating to monero.house

hello all you amazing people

In case you have not heard, reddit is effectively killing 3rd party apps on July 1. Apollo, RIF, Sync, and RedPlanet are all shutting down with more soon to follow. Given this backdrop i wanted to mention that one of the mods here has created https://monero.house. This lemmy instance already has the main communities such as Monero, XMR Trader, Monero Mining, Monero Support, Monero Market, and many more. You also have access to many other communities hosted on other instances and can interact with anyone on Mastodon, Pleroma, Frendica, etc. These services are all open source and run by people and not corporations. This seems to allign very well with the principals and ethos of the Monero community. Come join us all over their and lets leave the mandates of reddit and other big tech platforms who currently hold an axe over our heads and could strike us down whenever they wish.

Monero/XMR mining paying 3X as more on these two pools!!

So all of a sudden for the past 3 days, Nicehash and Miningrigrentals are paying 3X. If your mining on the other regular non/rental mining pools, you could be making way more.

RandomX hashrate is being bought, at a fairly steady rate, at a much higher price than it is going for currently on exchanges. Who are what do you think is doing this? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, especially for it to be happening for such a sustained period of time. Which means it was most likely not just a mistake of someone buying at an accidentally higher rate, over both platforms.
