Watching 30 Days of Night again yesterday made me realise what a fantastic vampire film this is. Not only are the vampires themselves designed in a memorable way, but they act in a foreboding manner that evokes creepiness.

There is so much tension in the film and the setting of Alaska during its "sunless" month is perfect for a vampire horror. The acting was also top-notch.
