I have Metal which includes travel insurance and after our flights were cancelled due to strikes in Germany I thought I would put in a claim for the 2 additional days we needed to pay for a hotel and food until the next earliest flight home.

It was my first time making a travel insurance claim of any kind and given how you always hear stories that insurance with bank accounts etc is worthless I didn't have much hope to be honest.Anyway I submitted the claim in the app with all the details and receipts, a week later they asked a couple of questions and for some paperwork, which I sent to them.

Two days later got a reply that the will pay out the full amount claimed direct to my Revolut account.

I did not book or pay for any of the original vacation on my Revolut card - my wife paid some, I paid some so this makes it feel even better.

Of course now my wife says we should of booked all inclusive for those 2 days instead of taking it easy and modestly in case we didn't get anything back from insurance.

So we saved a lot with Revolut on the spending money / exchange rate on holiday and super easy and efficient insurance process with Allianz.

Just thought I'd share a positive experience as there are so many negative or "why is my account blocked" posts.
