A gaming sub free from the news, hype and drama that surround current releases, catering instead to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

Have you ever wanted to buy a game on Steam but didn't know if it was good? Have you ever had just enough money for an indie game but didn't know whether it was worth buying? Have you ever asked yourself, "Should I buy this game?"

Poets Of The Fall - Ghostlight (FULL ALBUM) 2022! - YouTube

On top of usually crafting a new song for the latest game under the guise of Old Gods of Asgard, Poets of the Fall usually gets to feature one of their own songs from their latest album in each Remedy Entertainment game. In Alan Wake in 2010, it was "War" from Twilight Theater, and in Alan Wake's American Nightmare in 2012, it was "The Happy Song" from Temple of Thought. Both of these songs coming out the same year as the games they were featured in. While Quantum Break is the exception to this and does not feature a song, Control did feature POTF's "My Dark Disquiet," which came out a year prior on their 2018 album Ultraviolet.

With Alan Wake II coming out next year, I'm speculating that we might see one of the songs featured on this album in the game, unless the game gets delayed, or POTF creates something new under the Poets of the Fall name (we will most likely will see a new Old Gods of Asgard song either way). If this rings true, which song do you think will be featured from the album?

My bets are on the final song, "Beyond the Horizon." Its lyrics appear to be discussing the topic of facing death, but there is a lot of lyrics that might reflect Wake's situation. For example, lyrics like "my light, my soul surviving frail as darkness huddles near," and "free me at last of my promise to stay alone to go beyond the horizon" could really work with Wake since we last saw him in Control's AWE DLC. And those final lines: "There are those have become lost in the darkness and found hope. Those that have surrendered to the fires of tribulation and have been reborn. Those that can illuminate the history of our time to come. We call them ghostlights."
