The Computing for Science and Education Institute (CSEI) is a non-profit, educational organization that collaborates with science professionals and explores ways to introduce research computing environments to students, educators, scientists and the general public.

Bioinformatics and Geographical Information Systems, along with related courses in mathematics, science and computer science are currently areas of special focus.

Cochise County is in the extreme southeastern corner of Arizona on the border with Mexico. The unique biological and environmental diversity of this region is used as material for bridging the gap between the familiar and the very different new worlds appearing in modern science due to the influence of technology.
