The Computing for Science and Education Institute (CSEI) is a non-profit, educational organization
that collaborates with science professionals and explores ways to introduce research computing
environments to students, educators, scientists and the general public.
Bioinformatics and Geographical Information Systems,
along with related courses in mathematics, science and computer science
are currently areas of special focus.
Cochise County is in the extreme southeastern corner of Arizona on the
border with Mexico. The unique biological and environmental diversity of
this region is used as material for bridging the gap between the
familiar and the very different new worlds appearing in modern science
due to the influence of technology.
