Mein Name ist Evergreen Blue. Meine Eltern nannten mich immer entweder mit beiden Vornamen oder aber nur Evergreen. Meine Freunde in der Schule und auch meine Lehrer nannten mich Eve oder Eva. Ich war von allem nie wirklich begeistert. Deswegen war ich froh, als ich damals 2002 an meiner neuen Schule den Spitznamen Eliza bekommen habe. Ich habe meine Figur in Pokémon Kristall so genannt und irgendwie hat eine Freundin das irl übertragen. Seitdem nutze ich hauptsächlich diesen Namen. Auch meine Frau hat mich als Eliza kennengelernt und erst Monate später erfahren, wie ich wirklich heiße. Na gut, so viel dazu.
Hier das eigentliche Thema: Meinem britischen Vater war mein Name immer ganz besonders wichtig. Er liebt den Song Evergreen aus "A Star is born (1976)" und blau ist seine Lieblingsfarbe. Da er sich 2000 von meiner Mutter hat scheiden lassen und zurück nach England gegangen ist (hat sich um meine Oma in ihren letzten Monaten gekümmert) und ich nie eine wirklich enge Bindung zu ihm hatte, hat er meinen Namenswechsel nicht miterlebt. Vor einigen Monaten hat er wieder angefangen Kontakt zu mir aufzunehmen. Das war auch okay. Er hat sich gefreut, dass ich verheiratet bin (ihm ist es egal, dass es eine Frau ist) und er wollte unbedingt seine Enkelin kennenlernen. Gut, warum nicht? Der Mann hat mir nie etwas getan. Also planen wir ein Treffen. Erstmal nur meine Frau und ich, weil meine Tochter ausgerechnet an dem Wochenende bei meiner Schwiegermutter schlief.
Na ja, wir treffen uns also mit meinem Vater in einem Restaurant und alles läuft gut. Wir unterhalten uns, ich erfahre, dass ich zwei Halbbrüder habe, etc. Dann nennt mich meine Frau nach ca. einer Stunde Eliza. Vorher hatte sie immer nur Hasi gesagt. Mein Vater wurde nicht wütend oder so, aber er war tierisch enttäuscht, was er auch gleich geäußert hat. Ich habe ihm dann erklärt, dass ich schon als Kind nicht mit den Namen warm geworden bin, woraufhin er mich gebeten hat, wenigstens in seiner Gegenwart wieder Evergreen Blue zu sein. Ich habe abgelehnt und das Thema hatte sich damit erledigt. Vorerst. Der Abend war zwar an sich noch sehr schön, aber eine gewisse Spannung war zu spüren.
Zu Hause meinte meine Frau, dass ich auf seine Bitte hätte eingehen sollen. Ich hasse meine Namen immerhin nicht, sondern finde einfach, dass sie nicht zu mir passen. Ich meinte, ich wäre meinem Vater nichts schuldig. Danach hat mir meine Frau diesen Du bist ein Arschloch-Blick zugeworfen, den ich schon so einige Male abbekommen habe.
Also, Reddit: BIDA, weil ich auch vor meinem Vater Eliza genannt werden möchte?
EDIT for clarification: Mein Vater kann mich Evergreen Blue nennen so viel er will. Das stört mich nicht. Und wenn er jeden Satz an mich damit beginnt, ich wäre ihm nicht böse. Ich sehe es halt nur nicht ein, dass Leute, die mich quasi nur als Eliza kennen (wie meine Frau) mich auch Evergreen Blue nennen sollen.
EDIT 2: Ich habe kein Trauma. Mein Vater hat mir damals nichts bedeutet (er war nie da) und dass er sich jetzt gemeldet hat war eher, als wenn ich erfahren hätte, dass ich einen Onkel habe, den ich vorher nicht kannte. Ich bin ihm auch nicht böse, ich möchte ihn jetzt einfach kennenlernen.
