QuestionYears old Acrylic Paint on Amiibo. How to Remove It? (self.amiibo)

I got really into the custom amiibo crazy when I was very young and when Smash 4’s amiibos were newer to the shelves. Sadly as a kid my art skills were garbage and a lot of my amiibos have sat around with shitty paint jobs on them. I want to get rid of the excess paint to have a more somewhat normal amiibo collection. How would I go about doing this?

I would try simple green, but you should probably test it to make sure that it only removes the paint you don’t want while leaving the original paint. Good luck

Is there a way to only make it remove the outer layer of paint? I don’t want to ruin the original paint job

Not really. The original paint is acrylic. It will all have bonded. You’re pretty screwed.
